Blue rose of wonders, love incarnate,
As blue as the placid sky,
As deep as the waters singing -
You bring forth a melody of promises,
Transcending all of my world -
My heart, my life and my being.

These words so soft yet so strong,
Bearing magic so unspeakable,
Emanating waves so euphoric,
Engraved on this embodiment of my love,
And oh... All I can think of is you only.


We've traveled through this journey called life -
A symphony of happiness,
An abrupt cadence of flowing tears,
And how long has it been since that day -
When my world was obliterated,
Scarred by none other than you?


In the rain, tears kiss my cheeks -
A vivid facade of raindrops, indeed.
I hide my true feelings for you,
Yet as paradoxical as the blue rose,
I have been longing to see you...
I have been craving for your presence...


Since time immemorial have I declared -

Raindrops

Pitter patter, the lonely rain cries the farewell…

Memories engraved, carved, in every drop of rain -

My precious, my dearest and my alma mater -

O great Saint Jude, these raindrops forever I treasure.

Deluded am I, sitting down on the table,

staring at the shrouded window, I remembered,

“These happy and sad raindrops will slow down and stop,

and the sun will soon continue to shine brightly.”

With a glass of water in front of me, I sat

while thinking deeply with my head on my arms crossed.

“Goodbye, Saint Jude; although this moment is somber,

truly, we have spent countless days of jubilance.”

“Memories, memories, what can I ever say?

We have played, worked and enjoyed together as friends.

High school was fun, and I can honestly say why,

but the ending, it is, what is truly nostalgic.”

“Milk tea was as sweet as the friendships we have made.

Ice cream was as tasty as the moments we’ve shared.

Cramming was as stressful as seeing someone cry.

Learning was as challenging as helping a friend.”

Friends apologize to whom they’ve misunderstood,

to those whom they have annoyed or hurt so dearly.

We friends have grown together to face the future,

a bright future of hopes, dreams and aspirations.

Inside the drops of rain, engraved, those memories,

fall down to the ground, and they seep into my heart.

More and more drops of rain continued to descend,

as precious tears of farewell cascade from my eyes.

Above the clouds, a flash of light dazzles brightly,

and a roar of great anguish cripples our courage.

Though we may sometimes stumble, we get back to fight,

against the challenging maelstrom treaded by life.

Enduring parents stay with us through the ordeal,

and the smile of our friends gives us eternal strength.

Teachers have overwhelmed us with inspiration,

and along with their passion, our future’s secured.

“Thank you, Lord, for shaping us into the right persons.

Thank you, Saint Jude, for giving us these memories.

Thank you, parents, for guiding us properly.

A positive change shall we bring to the world today.”

The sun shone just as there will be a new chapter,

just as “Goodbye, Saint Jude” begins a new story.

Those new, angelic raindrops are metamorphosed,

and be it a nice, new rainbow – it doesn’t matter.

Nature's Painting

As grains of sand are cascading,

inside the hourglass of this world;

stubborn mankind there are,

painting the gloominess of life.

 Overwhelming, is the destruction

of nature’s tired respiration.

Wretched smog, difficulty it gives

to her clear precious bluish crown!

Acidic tears roll by her cheeks,

for she can’t endure much further;

one by one, bitterly they fall

piercing the greenness of the earth.

 

Unnoticed, infiltrated crops

with poison, produce some harvest.

Consumed by man, poisoned harvest

consumes man, deadly, bitterly.

 

Devastating too, is the demise

of nature’s green haired upright trees,

and they’re relentlessly grazed like

Rapunzel’s hair, by woodcutters.

 

Conclusion is harm of the soil

mixed with water caused by her tears.

Then, cascading down the mountains,

O, none can stand against her wrath!

 

Restless is her everyday life;

inside her, everything is lost!

For all is hopeless, all she does

is to shed tears all day and night.

 

Great winds from the east and the west

waged war with their brutal powers

harmed at the nexus of their crossfire,

are nature’s precious inhabitants.

 

Descending from her bluish crown -

no longer gentle tears of joy,

but are atrocious bullets of hail,

and coldhearted storms of sorrow.

 

Life’s seed will no longer grow,

if she continues to be hurt by man.

“O you inhabitants!” she says,

“why do harden your hearts on her?”

“Finite are the sands of time,

yet as many as grains of sand

night and day, malevolently,

is she injured by your cruelty!”

“Why won’t you give your sympathy

to her who’s created by Him,

Who blesses you with needs and wants

through her whom you have hurt so?”

“Why not you start healing her now,

who’s injured, scarred inside and out,

who’s callously consumed by man,

who’s like a withering flower?”

“I hope that you, O mankind,

bearing the words she has told you,

and your responsibility,

will paint the jubilance of life.”
